This local cafe is on my alternate route home from work, and it catches my eye every time. It’s bright, eclectic, and cozy looking even from the outside, but once you step inside you really get the full effect. The walls and tables are covered in writing and drawings from customers over the years, and they have a shelf full of bottles of their sauces and spreads as well as other house favorites you can purchase to take home.
We grabbed a table and some menus to browse before we headed up to the counter to order. I decided on the Breakfast Chick ‘With and Nolan ordered the Breakfast Tacos (see? Big breakfast people). Nolan grabbed a cup of coffee and I grabbed a water and we returned to our table to wait on our food.
It didn’t take us long to get our food and my lanta my sandwich was huge! A southern fried chicken breast, sunny side up egg, cheddar cheese, and some Franks Red Hot on a ciabatta roll combined to make on hell of a sandwich. Nolan was less impressed with his tacos telling me “they’re small, and it was basically the only breakfast item with meat. They don’t have a lot of flavor and the tortilla kind of overpowered the other flavors; not to mention the coffee was subpar”.
While my meal was enough to make me want to return, I’m not sure I can drag Nolan back again.
